Canada to face US for Olympic spot

The US will face Canada instead of Mexico this Thursday in Nashville for an Olympic spot.A spot which most thought would have gone to Mexico instead of Canada.
But Canada's 5-0 win over Guatemala was just enough to edge Mexico out on goal differential.Mexico beat Haiti 5-1 but are going home. Why Concacaf allowed staggered start times instead of having everyone play the final game at the same time raises my ire and suspicions.
