The Last Word returns to tackle a frustrating season opener

The atmosphere, as fans cleared out of a cold RFK Stadium around 9pm Saturday, was one of disappointment. D.C. United fans of all stripes seemed a bit deflated after the Black-and-Red - coming into the season having scored 36 goals in their last 15 competitive games - were held to a 0-0 draw by Sporting Kansas City.

The U.S. women's national team faces France tonight at RFK Stadium for the final game of the SheBelieves Cup. The USWNT currently sits a point behind France and is tied with England, who will play Germany at 4pm. The United States need a win to have a chance at winning the tournament for the second straight year, and an England win earlier that day could jeopardize their shot.

You get to weigh in on the best and worst on the field.

D.C. United came into their first game of 2017 (and their last home opener at RFK, if I understand things) with high-ish aspirations and expectations, dampened slightly by the absence of a key figure in the lineup. Though they found themselves outshot, they did seem to have more dangerous chances in their 0-0 draw with Sporting Kansas City, they did leave Saturday's game disappointed and with some work to do.
