Filibuster podcast episode 163: I thought we weren't gonna talk about copper

Black and Red United at related • 0 views

The last podcast of 2015 has ridiculous signings, front office chaos, and a star leaving the league.

The Filibuster guys are back with their last episode of 2015. Jason, Adam, and Ben start out talking about the MLS offseason and specifically Perry Kitchen's seemingly imminent departure. We also talk about the rest of MLS, including the LA Galaxy possibly signing Ashley Cole, Didier Drogba possibly returning to Chelsea, and a brief mention of the front office chaos happening in Orlando.

Nemanja Vidic to D.C. United rumors persist, remain crazy

This rumor continues to not die, unfortunately.

When we first learned about this rumor three months ago that Inter Milan defender Nemanja Vidic was bound for D.C. United next summer, we laughed at the time. And we still laugh now, particularly in light of this Goal Italy report which (I should note came out before El Dia de los Santos Inocentes) suggests that Inter Sporting Director Piero Ausilio is pushing Vidic to D.

The subliminated stripes go from collar to hem, and the adidas stripes appear on the torso in this image, the first time they do not appear on the arms of a D.

D.C. United should take some interest in MLS's inaugural free agent pool

Black and Red United at related • 0 views

It's not a thrilling bunch of free agents, but the Black-and-Red could find some solid contributors nonetheless.

Major League Soccer is debuting its version of free agency this offseason. It's a heavily restricted version of free agency, of course: Players must be 28 or older, and must have 8 seasons of time in MLS (consecutive or not), while teams can sign a maximum of two players from the free agent pool.

The folks at MLSsoccer.com have deemed the August goal-battle between D.C. United and Real Salt Lake to be the best game of 2015, as voted on by their editorial staff. The game served as the high water mark for the Black and Red, as the 90 minute, six-goal affair accounted for almost 15% of their goals for the season, and was the last markings of consistent success for the team, as they scored five goals in their next eight league games, going 2-5-1.
