for the 2012 CONCACAF U-20 Women's Championship. The eight-team tournament will determine the three

It was a light day for the U-23 MNT in camp today. A regeneration session in the pool this morning
and a light gym session in the afternoon, gave the team most of the day to rest. For dinner, there
was a trip to a local restaurant in Frisco. It was a nice chance to get out of the hotel where the
team has been spending so much time the past week.

Mexico has released its U-23 national team roster for the upcoming international friendly on Feb.
29. Head coach Luis Fernando Tena has included Marco Fabian of Chivas Guadalajara, Javier Aquino of
Cruz Azul and Hiram Mier of Monterrey. Like the U.S., Mexico's U-23s are using this game as
valuable preparation for CONCACAF Olympic Qualifying.
The Development Academy Carolina Challenge Cup tournament is taking place from Friday through
Monday. It is run in conjunction with the Charleston Battery's Carolina Challenge Cup, which
features Major League Soccer's Chicago Fire, Columbus Crew and D.C. United.
Approximately 300 Development Academy players are competing in the 18-game tournament.
The U.S. Soccer Development Academy enters its final weekend of February with 20 games on the
docket, all of them scheduled for Saturday.
One key fixture includes the Dallas Texans U-15/16 team facing Solar Chelsea SC, as the two
sides are in first and second place, respectively, in the Texas Division.

The U.S. Under-23 Men's National Team defeated FC Dallas 2-1 in a scrimmage today. Both teams used
the opportunity to train in a game setting, with the U-23s looking toward Olympic Qualiyfing and
Dallas gearing up for the MLS season.
The USA started in a 4-3-3 formation, looking to implement the attacking and positive style the
team has been working on under head coach Caleb Porter in camps the last few months.
The U.S. Soccer Development Academy's 2012 class continues to announce its college commitments
heading into the fall season later this year. Nearly 400 Development Academy players have made
their college decisions.
Sporting Kansas City recently held a ceremony for its college commitments and spoke with Southern
Methodist-bound midfielder Derek Schrick and Sporting Kansas City Juniors director of coaching Jon
