Egypt vs. USA Should be Moved, not Canceled

With the United States government issuing a travel warning, and even planning to help Americans leave Egypt, it is highly unlikely that the two national teams face off in Cairo on February 9th. While the level of violence in this revolution is relatively low for a nation with such a large population, there is still violence.

MLS Announces Roster Rules and Realignment

Sounder at Heart at related • 0 views

Let's get the simplest portion out of the way first. The two expansion Cascadia brothers of Vancouver Whitecaps and Portland Timbers are in the West as MLS is not insane. The only club moving are the Houston Dynamo who extend the Eastern Conference a tiny bit West. One should fully expect this to be a one year move for them, and one that is merely aesthetic with the balanced schedule.

Houston Moving East, Previously Reported Roster Rules Finalized

The big news of the day in MLS is probably not all that big: The Houston Dynamo will move to the Eastern Conference for the 2011 season. With balanced schedules, this really is not a big deal and in all likelihood, they'll be back in the West for 2012 when the Montreal Impact join the league and the schedules are unbalanced.
