Four minutes of injury time were added to the end of Manchester United's game against Swansea this afternoon. The referee played five minutes though, and in the final seconds before the whistle blew, Lukasz Fabianski sprinted up the field for a Swansea corner. He got his head on to the cross but thankfully his attempt went just wide of the post.

Louis van Gaal has explained these two decisions were forced because of injuries, but reveals he took Ander Herrera off at the end of the game to waste time, after Swansea had spent all match taking their time with every freekick and throw-in, apart from when they were losing.

It could have been so different. Once I got a touch I thought ‘wow, this isn't happening – Manchester United at Old Trafford' and our fans were on their feet.
