"I think it'll end in tears," Brown said. "Support Brazil from the start and you'll be alright, you'll still be laughing in the end. D'ya know what, I've never really backed England in anything, I've gotta be honest.

INTERVIEW: New Sponsors Aon Speak About Glazers, Debt and “The Brand”

A couple of weeks ago I gave readers of RoM the opportunity to pose questions for an Aon representative. Whilst wanting to get in to the nitty gritty, I was also mindful that any sponsor will be wary of what they can say about our owners. The fans want the Glazers out of the club and have made the club sponsors a target for boycott, putting pressure on them to pull out of deals with Manchester United, to encourage the Glazers to go, or face the negative reactions from reds towards them.

VIDEO: Hernandez Scores For Mexico Against Holland

Javier Hernandez has added weight to our argument brought to the FA that he deserves a work permit to come to England to play for Manchester United, after scoring against Holland. Similarly to Park Ji-Sung back in 2005, Chicharito, as he is otherwise known, has not played in the required 75% of International games in the past two years, meaning we have to appeal to the FA.

Nani Scores Great Goal Against Arsenal!

Republik Of Mancunia at related • 0 views

A beautiful bit of skill against Arsenal saw Nani put United 1-0 up at the Emirates back in January. He left two defenders for dead before lifting the ball over Almunia's head. The goalie could only palm the ball in to his own net and it was therefore given as an own goal.

His goal was the start of a great day which saw United win 3-1 against Arsenal, in almost a carbon copy performance of the European Cup semi-final thrashing we dished out the season before.

Rafael van der Vaart has been linked with a £20m move to Manchester United to make way for Jose Mourinho to bring his own players in to Real Madrid. The 27-year-old playmaker has been tipped as a replacement for Paul Scholes, who will likely retire at the end of this season.

He has apparently been a fan of United since the days of Mark Hughes and after struggling to make the same impact in Madrid as he did in Hamburg, is looking for a move away.

JANUARY 2010

United started the year with an uninspiring 1-1 draw away to Birmingham. They took the lead with a scrappy goal just before half-time before own goal saved our skin again. Our equalising goal was ruled out for offside initially but the right decision was made with the referee spotting that the final touch had come from a Birmingham player, not Rooney who had been flagged offside (even though he was onside!

Fletch: Injuries Gifted Chelsea Title

Manchester United have played with Park Ji-Sung at left, alongside Michael Carrick and Darren Fletcher in the centre of our defence, following the cripping defensive injuries United dealt with. This happened to coincide with when Edwin Van der Sar was also out injured.
