Patrice Evra has rallied the troops after our Champions League exit.

"No-one has won four titles in a row in the history of English football," said Evra. "We have the opportunity to do it. That is why this is one of the most important titles for Manchester United. I have won three titles with this club.

Bayern Defeat: Good and Bad

The good and bad of tonight, aided of course by hindsight...

Good
- Wayne Rooney's fitness: He managed to run around and even after being kicked and looking as though he was fucked, managed to keep on playing. Hearing he was in the starting team on the radio on the way to the ground and listening to all those Ingerlernd pricks whinging about it was really a brilliant start to the evening.

Yesterday, Sir Alex Ferguson struggled to definitely rule Wayne Rooney out of playing a part in tonight's game against Bayern Munich, despite the fact the striker was supposed to be out of action for a further two weeks.

Reports in today's press have revealed that after the cameras left the training ground yesterday, Rooney took part in an 11-a-side practice match at Carrington, showing no signs of injury.

Ahead Of Crucial Battle Against Bayern Munich

The last five seconds in the Allianz were the worst in our season so far. Not only did we concede a last minute goal, which turned a great away score draw in to a less favourable 2-1 defeat, but our most important player, Wayne Rooney, landed awkwardly on his ankle and had to be helped off the pitch.

Giggs: We Still Believe We Can Win The League

Ryan Giggs has today talked down any possibility that Manchester United are suffering from lacking confidence following back to back defeats against Bayern Munich and Chelsea.

"Losing successive matches does not shake the belief of the players," said Giggs. "When you look around the dressing room and see the players around you, the belief has to be there because there is so much talent.

Fergie: Stretford End Suck the Ball Towards The Goal

Sir Alex Ferguson is hoping the crowd can play a part in Wednesday's game against Bayern Munich, as United look to progress to the Champions League semi-finals.

"Old Trafford has got that suction towards the goal when we are really in full flow and the crowd is really up for it. The ball just seems to get sucked towards the Stretford End," said Ferguson.

Fergie: Rooney Could Be On The Bench For Bayern Or Blackburn

Sir Alex Ferguson appears to be in two minds ahead of our clash with Bayern Munich tomorrow, first claiming Wayne Rooney has no chance of playing on Wednesday, before conceding our striker might talk him in to putting him on the bench.

"The lad has no chance," said Ferguson. "We've made good progress and the medical team have done some fantastic work, but I'm not prepared to take a risk on a player that's not 100 per cent fit.

Macheda: I’m Baaaaack

Federico Macheda's goal yesterday would have seen us remain top of the league with five games to go, had the linesman got to Specsavers and noticed Didier Drogba was a good yard offside when scoring Chelsea's winner.

Our young striker is pleased to have played, after returning from a lengthy spell out with injury, and is eyeing more appearances in the remaining games of the season.

Chelsea Boy Clearly Wants United Move

Chelsea fans will begrudgingly admit that Joe Cole has been shit for them since returning from injury. The winger that has always had to prove himself has been obviously frustrated by his lack of opportunities under Carlo Ancelotti and this has been reflected by his performances on the pitch.

I spoke to The Chelsea Blog ahead of Saturday's game and they were worried by Cole's lack of effort.

The Decisions Even Themselves Out In The End, eh Chelsea?

When people refuse to move with the times, as every other major sport in the world has, and deny the worth of video technology, the argument used is that 'decisions will even themselves out in the end'.

It's true that one week your team may wrongly have a penalty awarded in their favour and a fortnight later, a penalty wrongly awarded against them, and that supports the tit for tat situation we have to accept because of the incompetence of referees and linesmen.

The eyes of the country are all on Dimitar Berbatov at the moment as he is given the difficult task of replacing Wayne Rooney in Saturday's fixture against title rivals Chelsea.
