Lazio forward Goran Pandev is set to be offered a deal to stay at the club until 2012.

Lazio are moving to quell reported interest in Pandev after the Macedonia international was linked with Portsmouth, Arsenal and Rangers in recent months.
The player publicly denied the speculation, saying of one report ahead of Macedonia's clash with England in October that he has "never spoken with this journalist (in question)" regarding a move to the Gunners.

The game is over, the Macedonian football fans are disappointed and the hopes of qualifying are shattered, many fans will question themselves do we really have what it takes to qualify for a major tournament. After the defeat in Croatia our chances for reaching the second place in this very tough and complicated group are slim, now we need a miracle to happen to qualify.

10 men Macedonia fail to survive on Maksimir although they had the lead from the 36th minute
It took ten minutes before the game's first goal attempt, a Milan Rapaic effort for Croatia that sailed harmlessly over. Macedonia then signaled their intent as Goran Maznov's floated corner found its way to Ilco Naumoski in the six-metre box, but he failed to connect cleanly, allowing a thankful Josip Simunic to clear.

Croatia took the control of the match in the second half especially after the harsh dismissal of the Macedonian captain Sedloski. Dario Srna equalized in the 58th minute and with the late goal by Eduardo Da Silva in the 88th minute.
