This bizarre footage comes ahead of Manchester City catching the train to London for yesterday's FA Cup semi-final against Chelsea. Defender Micah Richards can clearly be heard strolling along the platform at Stockport station singing Manchester United fans' chant in honour of Michael Carrick. Brendan Rodgers is keen on a summer move for Manchester City defender Micah Richards. Liverpool has made an enquiry and are among a clutch of clubs who are interested in signing 24-year-old Richards. Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain are also watching developments closely while Real Madrid and Juventus have checked on his availability.
On Manchester City's official YouTube channel, Micah Richards was filmed singing Michael Carrick's chant, "hard to believe it's not Scholes, it's Carrick, you know."
As City boarded the train to London from Stockport, ahead of their game against Chelsea today, Richards unashamedly sang the United chant 4 minutes and 30 seconds in.
The internet's latest dance craze is something called the Harlem Shake. Those social media savvy so-and-so's at Manchester City couldn't risk missing out on a piece of the action. So, they inevitably produced their own version. Pablo Zabaleta, Micah Richards, Joleon Lescott, James Milner, Edin Dzeko, Scott Sinclair and Aleksandar Kolarov were the players fortunate [.

You remember Maicon right? Inter's flying Brazilian right-back? From three years ago? Still
provides a bone fide 'goal of the season' contender once a year, every year? Well he's joined Man
City today with several well-placed City sources claiming the fee to be as low as £3 million which
is a bargain whichever way you look at it.

Ever since Ron Gourlay was quoted after Chelsea returned from their pre season tour of America, the
press as usual, have gone into overdrive.
Chelsea, ever since Roman Abramovich took over, have been linked with all sorts of players in every
single transfer window and it's pretty much become the "norm".
So the Olympic Games are nearly here already, and so here at the Footy Blog we've decided to
preview the possible starting line up for Team GB and talk about our chances of winning the
tournament in London.
Much has been said already of the decision to leave David Beckham out of the team, with manager
Stuart Pearce stating that it was done purely for footballing reasons.
As I said earlier, off season is one of those times when we get very fidgety and so we keep
ourselves posted with all the latest gossip from the tabloids and that little birdie everyone is
addicted to and keep ourselves happy. Small pleasures in a gloomy time if I can call it that.
Anyways there is so much happening outside the football field and it's good to see that so here is
a wrap of what has been keep us occupied:
Sir Ryan Giggs and the GB football team
Psycho has been harassed for his decision to drop Beckham and pick Micah Richards ahead of him,
from a footballing point of view; Stuart Pearce has shown his authority and dropped one of the main
men who brought the Olympics to London in his bid for Olympic glory.
Manchester United midfielder Ryan Giggs has been named as Great Britain captain for the
Olympics. Team GB coach Stuart Pearce said a number of players were capable of the role, but Giggs
was the "standout captain" in his 18-man London 2012 squad.
"He's got the respect of all the members of the group," said Pearce, whose side face Senegal at
Old Trafford in their opening game on 26 July.
Aaron Ramsey has been an active ambassador of Team GB's upcoming Olympics campaign but ahead of
the team's July 26 kick-off, the Arsenal midfielder has identified Manchester United's Ryan Giggs
as one of the keys to success this summer.
Ramsey is one of five Welshmen in Stuart Pearce's 18-man squad squad, with Swansea City duo Neil
Taylor and Joe Allen, Liverpool's Craig Bellamy, and Giggs being the other four.
People may, as we speak, be lighting candles outside Leytonstone Town Hall this afternoon. David
Beckham, one of the more public faces of the London bid to host this summers Olympic games found
out earlier today that he will not be in the squad for this summers matches, another layer of
controversy added to a team which seems to be pleasing very few people at the moment.
Manchester City executive Patrick Vieira has publicly questioned the decisions of Roy Hodgson
following a string of surprising exclusions for his Euro 2012 side. Most recently Hodgson decided
to select the inexperienced Martin Kelly over veteran Rio Ferdinand, also opting to leave out
Premier League champion Micah Richards.
Last night ex-Beatle Paul McCartney headlined the London Olympics opening ceremony with a rousing
and occasionally shaky rendition of Hey Jude. Another equally classic song in his considerable
repertoire is Live and Let Die an appropriate title when you consider his resentful outburst at
Stuart Pearce at the end of last week.

Team GB fell to an almost unmentioned 1-0 defeat to Mexico on Sunday as they prepared for the
London 2012 Olympic games. Stuart Pearce's side played the behind-closed-doors friendly at the new
St George's Park training centre, in Burton, with the media excluded from the match. Footage of the
game has eventually leaked out though, [.
Morning News and Rumours – By JG Aaron Ramsey has a chance to shine playing alongside Ryan Giggs,
Craig Bellamy, Micah Richards, Jack Butland and others; hopefully he will rekindle/resurrect his
old form. Ramsey told the Arsenal.com, "I'm delighted to be a part of it...playing in the Olympics
will be a great experience and I [.
Two days after being shocked by his exclusion from Great Britian's Olympic team despite his
vigorous campaigning for London to be the host city, David Beckham carried on doing what he does
best -- producing lovely free kicks and setting up his teammates for goals. Beckham equalized for
the LA Galaxy against San Jose in the 31st minute of what would be a five-goal first half.
TweetDavid Beckham was said to be sobbing over not being picked for the Great Britain Olympic
football team. In The Stands' Rolly Pelovangu has little sympathy. David Beckham will not be

Micah Richards respectively.

When Tottenham comes to the United States for their preseason tour next month, they could very
well be led by Andre Villas-Boas.
According to reports from England, Villas-Boas could be named Spurs coach as soon as this
weekend as the club finalizes plans to find Harry Redknapp's successor.
With the 2012 London Olympics Games less than a month away, many Londoners have been awaiting
the release of the Team Great Britain Olympic football squad.
One of the elder statesmen that was thought to be a lock for the club was former England captain
David Beckham.
A report today from The Guardian, and also confirmed by Becks himself, is stating that Great
Britain manager Stuart Pearce has decided to leave the Galaxy ace off the roster.
When David Beckham helped bring the Olympic torch from Greece to England last month, the London
native was believed to be a sure bet to be named to the Great Britain Olympic soccer team as one of
its overage players.
So much for that.
Beckham has been snubbed from the 18-player squad chosen by Great Britain team manager Stuart
Pearce after having been included on the provisional 35-man roster.
Becks has worked hard and run more with the Olympic torch than at the LA Galaxy
Stuart Pearce drops David Beckham from the English Olympic squad instead picking Micah Richards
in quite a shocker. After seeing his old AC Milan team mate, Andrea Pirlo having quite a Euro, this
is hard to take.
"Whut can I get ya son? How 'bout a rootin' tootin' Sarsaparilla?"
It has been confirmed that part-time footballer/Wild West saloon barkeep David Beckham has
missed the cut for the 'Team GB' Olympic football squad despite the fact that Team GB have used his
name to sell a shed-load of tickets over the past few months.
Two familiar faces gave Brazil a 2-0 win over Team GB last night at the Riverside Stadium,
Tottenham's Sandro grabbed the first with a looping header before Neymar struck with a penalty
after Micah Richards was roasted down the right wing and subsequently fouled in the box.

About half of the Brazilian Olympic squad on display in today's warm up have been linked to
Premiership sides.
Remember when Chelsea were gyrating their hips fast and furiously to attract Neymar earlier this
year. But it is Olympic team mate, Oscar who has reportedly undergone a medical at Chelsea, in line
to be their newest acquisition although the club officially has yet to announce him.
On a day when there were more important events to report on in the football world, such
as Italy's masterful win over Germany to reach Sunday's Euro 2012 final against Spain, one story
stood out from all the rest, and once again it involved David Beckham. Unfortunately for him, it
appears that GB Team manager Stuart Pearce has left the former England captain out of his squad for
the 2012 Olympics in London.
Michael Carrick, Micah Richards, Rio Ferdinand and Aaron Lennon (the little one) watch
England depart.
What excitement today at Luton Airport as the England squad departed for yet another major
tournament failure. However, before they boarded the plane, the players did a PR thingy with
Vauxhall.
*France finished their Euro 2012 warm-up by beating Estonia 4-0 in Le Mans this
evening.
Frank Ribéry opened the scoring in the 25th minute before Real Madrid marksman Karim Benzema
bagged a brace in the 38th and 47th. PSG attacker Jeremy Menez added his first goal for Les
Bleus at the death.
Manchester City defender Micah Richards is expected to be our for four months after undergoing an operation on Monday to repair a torn meniscus.
Richards, who picked up the injury against Swansea on Saturday is expected to miss at least 20 matches, and is a big loss for a Man City side that has struggled defensively all season.
