I learned something Saturday that really caught me off guard.

It turns out that there is a segment of the FC Dallas nation that finds Portland's "Timber Joey" tradition, and I am quoting here,

"lame"

Really? I get that people are mad Dallas lost, but Timber Joey?

...Oh and your team is literally without a striker. What do you do?

For a guy who is regularly criticized as "too defensive minded" Schellas Hyndman did the exact opposite most every other team would have done in this situation.

Seeing the most recent MLS power rankings, those who follow FC Dallas are rightful to be more than a bit perplexed. Other than SI.com, who has FCD ranked No. 1, the rankings at ESPNFC (No. 3) and MLSsoccer.com (No. 2) leave something to be desired. It's hard to understand why this Dallas team doesn't get more love on a national scene.
